Davis School District’s newest high school features 390,000-sf of innovative design elements for integrating technology with flexible learning environments. The structural design is based on a masonry, shear-wall lateral system with structural steel framing. Composite beam/slabs were used to provide an efficient design. Wider flange floor beams as well as Gymnasium, Commons and clerestory roof beam spacing was increased from typical spacing for a cost-effective design that is easier and faster to build.
